Sweet Heat Gourmet- Pineapple and Ghost Pepper Hot sauceI believe it was around the NYC hot sauce show this year when I started seeing Sweet Heat Gourmet showing up on my Facebook news feed. A lot of people seemed to enjoy them so I added them to my long list of companies to try out. When I received an unexpected box of goodies I was very happy to see this bottle in the box; now I could see what all the fuss was about. The title paired with the hype makes me eager to jump in and try this one!

The smell of this sauce is simply off the charts! Pineapple, some heat, lime, and garlic all hit hard right off the bat! The first taste I get is some sweetness from the pineapple, followed by the freshness from the lime, garlic, onion and finally the heat.  It didn’t seem like it just by looking, but this has a pretty thick consistency. The little bit I tried on its own is just as incredible as it smells. Short pops of the above-mentioned flavors make the scents come alive even more. The heat is here, and represented well, but it’s not a bhut sauce that will blow you up. This sauce is very versatile, I will be trying this on ice cream at some point soon (Yea, I said ice cream!). Chicken, Beef, ect. I could see this working with, I could even see this a salad dressing. I really wish one of my friends could try this sauce, but he has an allergy to pineapples; on the bright side, that means there’s more for me! I will be buying more of this sauce, and I’ll probably try their other ones too. I know I’ve been gushing about how good this one is, but it really is simply outstanding! Fire I will go Mean and Flavor Notable.

Thank you so much for the awesome review! 🙂 We’re glad you enjoyed it! Dave likes the sauce on ham sandwiches, it’s also good when you mix it with mayonnaise to makr a spicy mayo. Thanks so much again!
