Bone Suckin' Sauce - HotOne of the best and sometimes worst things about me is that I am very loyal person. This for just about all aspects of my life be it hot sauces, bbq sauces, music, friends, and family; It’s a constant balance/struggle with me. So, when I find products that I love I tend to stick with them until the end. When I told James I would help them out I never would’ve thought I would find companies in my backyard that would have gained my loyalty. I have said on many occasions (at least once in a review) that I have not found many NC products that I truly loved. That number has gone up. I explore more now than I did 5 years ago, or even a year ago. The hot sauce/bbq sauce scene has changed, and for once NC is catching up.

Tomato Paste, Apple Cider Vinegar, Honey, Molasses, Mustard, Horseradish, Lemon Juice, Onions, Garlic, Peppers, Natural Hickory Smoke Flavor, Natural Spices, Salt, and Xanthum Gum

The label is similar to their habanero sauce: a bright white label with black lettering and the word “HOT” in red. This comes in a 16 oz bottle instead of the 5 oz. The smell of honey, molasses, garlic and vinegar come through fairly strong. Tasting this sauce by itself I get the honey, molasses, onion, horseradish vinegar and garlic pretty quick. It has a nice sweet taste that gets a little warm from the horseradish (which almost always lights me up); I’m not the biggest fan of horseradish but it has its place and works well with this sauce. The consistency is on the thin side despite the honey and molasses. I smoked some ribs on the July 4th and put some of this on them, and worked very very well! my wife tried it as well and said it was okay, and from her that’s a ringing endorsement! For me the balance was damn near perfection! You get the vinegar, you get a little sweet, and most importantly you get a little heat! Speaking of heat this gets a Mild. For flavor I give it a Nice! Another NC sauce that has this man’s loyalty.
