Bone Suckin’ Sauce – Habanero Sauce
I have seen this company’s products around in stores in the area for a while but I honestly don’t remember if I have tried any of the sauces they have on the market. I really need to pay a little more attention sometimes when looking at products because I didn’t realize they are from the Raleigh area. In an earlier review I stated that I only loved one company from NC. This has changed a lot over the past few months partly due to having the opportunity to do these reviews. Oddly enough one of the reasons these guys stick out on the shelf is the very white label. The lettering is mostly black and the Pepper in red.

When you open the bottle the smell of molasses and the natural hickory flavor are fairly strong. Consistency wise it’s thick, and reminds me a bit more like a bbq sauce. The taste of molasses, honey, and habaneros really stick out and stick to your palate. In my opinion, it’s the horseradish that causes this to be one of the hotter Habanero sauces I have had in a long time. For those that already don’t know horseradish for whatever reason really sets me on fire. For once, I actually did a suggested use on the bottle which was wings. Although I didn’t use the rest of the bottle(suggestion was 5oz of this and a stick of butter for 12 wings) I did use about ½ bottle and a couple tablespoons of butter and honestly it was fantastic! I also used this a couple of times mixed in ketchup and worked out well. Pizza was only okay, but that might have been the topping choice. Because I find this to be one of the hotter habanero sauces I have had, I must give this a Madness on heat, and flavor it’s solid Nominal.
